A healthy version of something made with buffalo wing flavor? Can it be? Yes it can, and it is pretty amazing too! Buffalo flavored anything is one of my favorites (wings, dip, you name it!) but let's face it, usually when something has the words "buffalo wings" in it, it's either usually deep fried in oil or loaded with lots of cheese and lots of calories. That's why I was thrilled when I found this recipe for Buffalo Wing Hummus from Prevention RD.
I knew this recipe would be great, but I didn't realize just how great it would be. It truly packs in all the flavors of a buffalo dip without the added calories. I knew it was a success when Matt told me how much he loved it. I love a good hummus any day, but Matt's not as much of a hummus lover as I am-except apparently for this buffalo wing hummus!
This is the perfect addition for any tailgate, football game, or to make to snack on at anytime. It's guilt free and absolutely delicious and takes almost no preparation and time at all to make!
Buffalo Wing Hummus
2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2-3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
3 tablespoon wing sauce
2 tablespoons cayenne hot sauce
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
Put the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, paprika, wing sauce, hot sauce, vinegar and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in a food processor. Puree until smooth and creamy.
