Grand Marnier Fruit Salad

I think fruit salad has to be one of the most underrated things out there.  Done right, it's always a welcome and pleasant dessert.  I'm not talking about using canned fruit-be sure to use the freshest fruit you can find. I personally like a mix of berries, mangoes, kiwis and grapes-the tastes really compliment each other and I love having all the variations in color and texture.

This version of a fruit salad is one of my favorites, and the addition of Grand Marnier makes it somewhat different from your typical fruit salad and great for a special occasion-I think it would be perfect to bring to a barbecue in the summer but would be just as a appropriate to serve as a dessert or part of a dessert after a special meal.

Grand Marnier Fruit Salad

2 cups red or green grapes (or a combination)
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 cup any combination of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries
2 cups sliced mango
1 cup sliced peeled kiwi
1/2 cup Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar

Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate.
Makes about 8 servings.
