Hamburger Sliders

I was really excited for the most recent recipe swap...the theme this time was burgers and sandwiches.  In the spring and summer, Matt and I have burgers or sandwiches about once a week so I am always looking for new ideas to change things up.

I received a recipe for classic grilled burgers from Hezzi-D's Books and Cooks. On first glance, the recipe is a simple and traditional burger, the idea of mixing in some Montreal steak seasoning with the meat is new to me-I had never thought to do that before.

I decided to make this recipe into sliders, again because I had never made sliders before and I wanted to try something new and thought it would be fun.  Both Matt and I agreed with Hezzi that "simpler is better" when it comes to burgers and we both loved the addition of the Montreal steak seasoning.  Thank you so much for the great idea Hezzi!

Hamburger Sliders

1 pound lean ground beef
2 teaspoons Montreal steak seasoning
2 teaspoon A1 steak sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Slider buns
Cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, A1  and toppings of your choice

Mix the beef, steak seasoning, A1, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl until well combined.

To make the sliders, form the hamburger meat mixture into 1-2 inch round burgers. and grill for several minutes on each side.

Place on a hot grill and cook 2-3 minutes each side or until they are cooked through.  Top with cheese if desired and cook an additional 1-2 minutes.  Serve on toasted slider buns and top with your favorite toppings.

  1. I'm glad you liked them! I love the idea of making them into sliders-simple and small is the best!
