Matt and I had a drink like this on our honeymoon in Cabo. We went to a little restaurant named Maro's Shrimp House where we had not only really fresh and absolutely amazing seafood, but also their signature drink called the Bulldog.
The outside (and inside for that matter) of Maro's doesn't look like much but has really good food-which is probably why it is so popular. If you're ever in Cabo, I definitely recommend this place!
The Bulldog was basically a really big Margarita that gets brought to your table, and after the waiter sits it down on your table, he literally shoots a bottle of Corona into it. I was quite intrigued by this and really enjoyed it. So, when my friend Gail made this recipe for a Beer-garita, I was so excited to have a taste of Cabo again!
Here is Matt with the Bulldog in Cabo (we decided it was big enough to share!):
In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I thought I'd share this recipe. I'm not normally a beer drinker, but I like the way it adds an unexpected flavor to this drink.
Beer-garita
1 cup frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup tequila
1/2 cup orange liqueur
Crushed ice
1/2 to 1 cup cold beer
Stir together first 3 ingredients until well blended. Fill 4 medium glasses with crushed ice. Pour limeade mixture evenly into glasses. Add beer to taste. Makes 4 servings.

Sounds like the perfect drink for today! if only I didn't have to work tomorrow :).

Great start on your blog, Dawn. Got a kick out of this post. If you get a chance, I posted a 'margarita story' as well after the wife and I spent a long weekend in South Beach. Pass the salt and enjoy. :-) http://bit.ly/fLYcJw
